Misunderstanding...

My mother was diagnosed with Lupus January 2014. At the time of her diagnosis I wasn’t as supportive as I could have been because of my own selfish reasons and my lack of knowledge. I had just loss my father that previous year in November and hearing that my mom had lupus was the last thing I wanted. So, I ignored it…unknowingly and unintentionally ignoring her.
I automatically assumed the worst, but once I began to educate myself and I began to ask questions…I knew there was hope. Watching someone you love battling a disease you automatically wish there is something you can do but sometimes just being supportive is enough. I support you Lolitha Bigby…I support the fight to find a cure for Lupus!
