Communications Committee
Chaired by Moneeke Byrd, Public Relations Director of the Board
The communication committee is the lead of all Inspired by Queens’s media, newsletters, website, social media, promotions, agenda and events. This committee also develops and implements the organization's communications and marketing strategies.
If you enjoy writing, tweeting, emailing and is familiar with navigating LinkedIn, then we need you! Inspired by Queens, Inc. is looking for ambitious women to make a difference in the community one woman at a time. Membership Committee
Chaired by Aisha Lamons, Secretary of the Board
The main focus of the Membership Committee is to help recruit new members into the Inspired by Queens, Inc., from prospecting, developing outreach strategies, and implementing a strategic plan for the development of Inspired by Queens, Inc.
An important goal of Inspired by Queens is to represent a range of diverse women, inspire the masses, and for memberships to remain valuable to members of all types.
This committee provides feedback on Inspired by Queens, Inc.'s programs to ensure that their performances remain of the highest benefit to every members. Members of this committee are encouraged to attend as many events as possible, and to bring prospects as guests/volunteers to show community members first-hand the benefits of Inspired by Queens, Inc. membership. Finance Committee
Chaired by Patralynn Turner and Myronica Knight, Treasurers of Board
The main duty and role of the Finance Committee is to maintain a continuing review of the financial affairs of Inspired by Queens, Inc. and to provide financial oversight for the organization. Typical task areas for small and midsized groups include budgeting and financial planning, financial reporting, and the creation and monitoring of internal controls and accountability policies. Using this information, it is the committee’s duty to make appropriate recommendations to the Board or the Executive Committee regarding financial matters.
