A Queen's Diary

Hello Fear

In my past I've struggled with fear of change. Though I didn't show it much, when it came to new things, I feared anything that removed me from my 'comfort zone.' I would always doubt myself and even question God which made it a little more challenging. I've always shied away from meeting new people, traveling to different places and even trying new foods. Some may not define this as a fear at all but after 29 years of living it, I can say it is. Especially when you know deep down inside that there's so much more to life waiting for you beyond the mental prison you've entombed yourself into. We fear simply because we are not living with life, we are allowing our minds and emotions to live for us.

After suffering from my fear of change for so long, I began to  realize that my fear was leading to feelings of failure, loneliness, loss, rejection, lack of confidence and unfulfilled dreams. I was allowing my actions to be controlled by fear. It was becoming a hindrance that I had to somehow overcome and if I didn't, I would become a product of it rather than achieving my own desires. For as long as I reacted to my fears, I knew that I could never reach my full potential. I overcame fear with FAITH. Faith is believing in what you can't see and trusting God through your journey. Sounds easy right??? Well it isn't, and the first step is to acknowledge the fear, recognize that it is there and confront it.

If you don't, fear can feel like an unsolicited relentless acquaintance paralyzing your thoughts, influencing your actions, damaging relationships and hindering your Faith. Who would of thought that this 4 letter word could have so much power? It only has power if you don't actuate your Faith. Faith allows you to see life differently by giving you peace in knowing everything will be ok in spite of what you may see, hear or feel. Override your fears with Faith. Instead of thinking about what could go wrong, instead think about what WILL go right. Whatever seeds you plant will flourish, so try sowing a seed of Faith and watch it grow. A positive mindset is key.

Fear will allow you to exist in life but FAITH will allow you to LIVE. We are not born with fear we learn it. Fear and faith can't coexist, there is only room for one. Everything I wanted was just on the other side of fear. Faith takes practice but it is worth it when you want to live a life free of fear!

Yours Truly,

Queen Myronica
